Three Alstroemerias Reach the Final of the Glazen Tulp Award 2027

No fewer than three of our Alstroemeria introductions, developed in collaboration with H.M. Tesselaar, have been nominated for the Glazen Tulp Award 2027. With Fashionista® Couture, Melon and Tompouce, we are among the seven finalists in the cut flower category.

The Glazen Tulp Award, organized by Royal FloraHolland, highlights the most remarkable market introductions in floriculture each year. For us, this nomination is a valuable recognition of our ongoing commitment to developing new varieties that meet the needs of growers, traders and consumers.

Of our three nominated introductions, Fashionista® Couture has been selected for the public award. This elegant single-flowered Alstroemeria stands out with its subtle colour transitions, round flower shape and soft appearance. In addition, it offers growers reliability thanks to its compact growth habit and excellent virus resistance.

Melon brings a fresh and summery look thanks to its distinctive green-yellow bicolour flowers. Beyond its striking appearance, it stands out for its strong stems, large flowers, high production and excellent vase life.

Tompouce also has a character all its own. With its soft pink tones, creamy yellow centre and strong stems, it combines an eye-catching appearance with outstanding performance.

HortiPartners Collaboration

We see these three introductions reaching the final as a wonderful recognition of the joint breeding efforts of HilverdaFlorist and H.M. Tesselaar, together operating as HortiPartners. At the same time, it demonstrates the strength and distinctiveness of our current Alstroemeria assortment.

The winners of the Glazen Tulp Award 2027 will be announced at a later date.
